Faith causes many amazing out of this world things to happen, like the dividing of the red sea, the walls of Jericho to fall down, the prostitute Rahab to welcome spies as friends. Lots of fantastic things happened for good. However good people were also killed, tortured, and whipped for their faith. The world didn’t deserve these good people. Since we are surrounded by so many examples of faith, we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially sin that distracts us. We must run the race that lies ahead of us and never give up.”
I have been lucky enough in my life to have encountered lots of good people who have shown me how to live a Christian life. Hard working Sunday School teachers, bible study leaders, youth workers. Wives and mothers that have shown me when they were weakened by cancer how to have a strong faith and to never give up. Some have lived long lives some not. God is in control of the days we have on this earth, and we are not. Frustrating but true. However many days we have left , to see miracles or to be whipped , we must never give up on the one who is always faithful, on trying to be the best we can be for our God, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Holy God thank you for providing examples of good people to help us run the race of life that we were made for. To be joyful whatever the circumstances. In Jesus name we pary. Amen.
