2 Timothy 3 :14 – 4:5v 16 All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.”
Paul continues to give Timothy advice , to remain faithful to the things you have been taught. To trust in Christ Jesus. All scripture is inspired by God. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. Preach the word of God. Be prepared whether the time is favorable or not. A time will come when people will reject the truth and chase after myths.
Who wants to pray on a Saturday night? Well a group of people from across Canada who are in Ottawa to ask the government to set aside $500 million to support climate resilient food systems. To speak for the poor of the world who are hungry. A number that is dramatically increasing due to climate change, the aftereffects of the pandemic and the war in Ukraine. God prepared his people to talk to politicians, to write letters or emails to post on social media and walk the streets of Ottawa to find politicians who would listen. Grounded in the word of God we boldly stepped out. And you can to. God wants us to do good works. That is the truth in this passage of the bible. So go out today and spread the truth to all you meet or sit down and write a letter to your federal MP about the needs of the hungry in the world until all are fed.

Prayer: We call on You, God of earth and sky. God of the waters that flow in our rivers and streams, and that fall upon our gardens and fields. Teach us and show us the way.
For those people who labor on this earth to produce food for themselves and for the world; for the landless and those whose lands are mired in conflict or degraded by drought, for the rich and the poor for the hungry and the over fed, we pray to you. O God hear our prayer.
Send us out into the world, in service to God. Amen.
