Psalm 72: 1-7, 18 -19 v 6 “May the king’s rule be refreshing like spring rain on freshly cut grass, like the showers that water the earth.”
O God, help the king judge your people in the right way. Let the poor be treated fairly. Rescue the children of the needy. May the king’s rule be refreshing like spring rain on freshly cut grass, like the showers that water the earth.” Praise the Lord God of Israel, who alone does such wonderful thigs. Let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and amen.

I heard on the radio this week that people on average complained at least five times a day about winter! I might even be guilty about doing the same thing. I remember my son listening to me complain about driving in the snow, say “Get over it Mom! You live in Ontario; it snows every year!!” It is refreshing however to think about the spring rain, the smell of freshly cut grass and the Lord’s reign forever. Even in winter, “as long as the sun shines, as long as the moon remains in the sky, let us praise the Lord and live in the right way. A wake-up call to get over it! Enjoy each day, including the dull cloudy days and the snowy ones of winter as they belong to the Lord too. Praise His glorious name forever!
Prayer: Holy God thank you for all our days, even the snowy ones and lead us along your path to help the children of the needy, to treat the poor fairy, as long as the sun shines and the moon remains in the sky. Amen and amen!
