Paul, chosen by God and sent out to preach His Good News. The good News that the son was born out of David’s line. Raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. Almost there. Last day of school, a couple of days left to shop and decorate. The cooking and cleaning begin. Rooms cleaned out for out of town guests, presents wrapped under the tree, stockings hung by the fire soon to be filled. How are your preparations going? Have you thought about the grace and peace of the season? Grace underserved favor, given even to the gentiles. The Good News that God loves us all and Jesus Christ was born to save us all. To give you peace. Make sure this Christmas season that everyday you celebrate a candle is lit to represent the baby Jesus, the young Jesus in His Fathers House and the adult Jesus teaching on the mountainside, in the church, and in the houses of tax collectors. He came for you to have peace. Light a candle, take a deep breath and enjoy the rest of your days knowing that by the grace of God you are loved and can find peace.
Prayer: Holy God, thank you for sending your Son so that all may learn of your love and find peace through your grace. Amen.
