Psalm 148 v 3 “Praise Him, sun and moon! Praise Him all you twinkling stars.”
Praise the Lord, from the heavens, all his angels! Praise Him, sun and moon! Praise Him all you twinkling stars. Let every created thing give praise to the Lord. Let them all praise the Lord for His name is very great, His glory towers over the earth and heaven. He has made the people strong, honoring his faithful ones- who are close to Him.
My grandchildren are growing and like to play with playdough. They roll it out and cut shapes and one of the favorites is a star. The other thing they like is singing songs. So with a star in their hand held above their heads we sing ‘twinkle, twinkle little star!” I hadn’t thought, the many times we have done this that we were praising God until I saw this verse in the psalm today. Praise Him all you twinkling stars. Praise God in all you do today, in the weather, the animals and birds, let them all praise the name of the lord!”
Prayer: Heavenly Father who made us all accept our praises today wherever we are and whatever we are doing. Amen.
