“Who may worship in your sanctuary Lord?”

Psalm 15 v 2 “Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts.”

The Old Testament is full of fighting and forgiveness. When David asks “Who may worship in your sanctuary Lord He gives the simple answer. Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts.” He goes on to detail other traits of good people. Those who refuse to gossip, those who honor faithful followers of the Lord, those who keep promises even when it hurts. Those who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent. Such people will stand firm forever.

David had many different experiences in his life and met many different people and found good people wherever he went. I have found the same too. People who quietly work with children with disabilities, people who welcome strangers into their homes, or who quietly go about fixing things in an old church building. People who can be relied upon to do their part when asked.

“Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?” Psalm 15 v 1b

Be thankful today for those who are simply good people in our lives, the lives of the community and in the world.

Prayer: Holy God who is the creator of all, thankyou for the good people who worship in your sanctuary and stand firm in our lives, communities and the world. Amen.
