Psalm 112:1-9 v 8 “They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.”
Joyfully obey His commands. Successful children, a blessed generation. Wealthy, and forever doing good deeds. Generous, compassionate, they will be long remembered. Trust the Lord to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.” Share and give generously to those in need. They will have influence and honor.
This is an amazing list of things we would all wish for. Successful children, wealth, confidence, and fearlessness especially when facing your foes. All these things given to one person they would surely be a high-ranking government official, a celebrity, a winner of a Nobel prize. I am sure you can think of someone whose light would shine in the darkness.
What would your list look like if you wrote a psalm to praise the Lord? How do you show others His love and what will you be remembered for? Take a few minutes now to write down some thoughts.
Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank for sending us your Son Jesus so that we may see the reality of your love in this world. For helping us all to be the best we can be, giving to our neighbors locally and around the world. For being rich in time to meditate on your words. Knowing that you are there when we falter, understanding and kind. Amen
