Guide

Psalm 32 v 8 “The Lords says, “I will guide you along the best pathways for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”

What joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven. What joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat. Finally, I said to myself” I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And he forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Therefore, let all the Godly pray to you. You are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. The Lords says, “I will guide you along the best pathways for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”  So, rejoice in the Lord and be glad, all you who obey Him! Shout for joy!

“Many sorrows come to the wicked, but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the Lord.” Psalm 32 v 10

These words were written over 2,500 years ago. Possibly by David but most likely by an unknown scholar of the time, 500 years before Christ was born. Yet the wisdom is true for us all today. To live our best life, we must realize that we screw up. We make mistakes and we must own up to them. We must be completely honest in how we live. Around the Christmas celebrations and for most of the month of January my body wasted away. I groaned all day long. My energy evaporated! I was thinking about travelling overseas again, of returning to a traditional church congregation, and my prayer life was a struggle. I was looking for a path of my own making instead of trusting God to guide me along the best pathway for my life. I had to allow others to help me, my husband took me to the Dr, I had antibiotics and had to reduce my activities to allow my body to heal. And now I am honestly praying for myself and others, find myself singing with joy to the Lord and taking one day at a time as He guides me where He wants me to be. I was taking a wrong turn and God reached out to correct me. If the joy is missing from your life find a quiet corner to confess your mistakes and He will guide you along the best pathways for your life.

Heavenly Father thank you for guiding me along my path in this life. I am sorry for the wrong turns that I make and I ask that you forgive me. Hallelujah. Amen
