Genesis 12: 1-4a v2 “I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others.”
The Lord said to Abram” Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. You will be famous. I will bless those who bless you. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.” So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed, and Lot went with him.”
Last Sunday I got a call. As I was having a stretch break from writing at my computer, which means I was walking around my living room rolling my shoulders back and forth, a voice in my head told be to go and listen to a friend preach. She doesn’t preach every Sunday so I didn’t even know if she was preaching that day. I picked up my phone to check for messages and I had a new email. It was from my friend saying that she was preaching at 9.30 am and at 11am that day. It was 9.25am. I answered the call and enjoyed some lovely music at the Church at 11am. Her message was about listening to God, and then we had a wonderful conversation over coffee afterwards. I felt truly blessed.
Not everyone will be as famous as Abram, or a Billy Graham, or a Cameron Trimble but all of us must listen for Gods call. It will be a blessing.
