Psalm 16v 3 “The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them!”
Keep me safe. Every good thing I have comes from you. The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them!” Lord you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. I know the Lord is always with me. You will show me the way of life, and the pleasure of living with you forever.
There are several things in this psalm that makes you think and act differently which is what a Christian journey is all about. Not just passively going through the familiar but living what you believe. First let’s think about every good thing I have comes from God. That makes me feel thankful, full of wonder, and means I can’t imagine all the good things that can be done as God is so big, and all around us. What hope we can live with, and the pleasure of living with you forever!
And then there are the godly people that come into our lives. The true heroes. People who inspire you to do better because you see them do amazing things. How they integrate daily prayer into their lives, start new careers well past retirement age! Encourage connectedness and to focus on renewing and refreshing our spiritual lives. People who have amazing organizational skills. We all have our gifts from God to share. So go out today and be a true hero!
Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for the true heroes that you bless us with and help us to live each day knowing that you are with us always. Amen.
