All praise to God. By His great mercy we have been born again. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance. And through your faith God is protecting you by His power until you receive this salvation. So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold- though your faith is more precious than mere gold.” You trust God and rejoice with a glorious, inexplicable joy.
Crazy things are going on around me. My husbands mother just passed away, a friend is hurting because of her work for the Church, other family members are dealing with difficult relationships and I can’t seem to find the time to eat well and follow the commands of the road let alone the commands of God to forgive others and love even our enemies. So how come when I went to an Easter service on Sunday, when I worshiped via zoom on Wednesday did, I find an inexplicable joy? When I turned to God in praise and prayer, I found I had more energy to prepare an Easter meal for the family, I was able to relax at the end of the day instead of feeling all wound up? My faith to me is more precious than mere gold.
Prayer: Almighty God who sends us trials to show us how genuine our faith is and protects us with your power, send us out into the world today with praise on our lips and joy in our hearts as we show others our faith is more precious than mere gold. Amen.
