Pierced hearts

Acts 2 :14a, 36-41 v 37 “Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers what shall we do?”

Listen fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem. God has made Jesus both Lord and Messiah! Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers what shall we do?” Peter replied each must repent of your sins, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, your children and to those far away. Those who believed what Peter said were baptized, about 3,000 in all.

Change is in the air as the spring rains turn brown grass green, as we put away winter sweaters and boots and replace them with shorts and sandals, change the tires on our cars. And what about our spiritual lives? Are they in need of a bit of spring cleaning? Are their routines like finding time to read the bible, time to pray and time to look after our neighbors that need to be changed? Brothers, what shall we do?

“So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified , to be both Lord and Messiah.” Acts 2 v 36

Prayer: Almighty God show us the path where you want us to join you  to deepen our spiritual practices and open our conversations to those who need to hear it, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
