Psalm 116:1-4,12-19 v 2 Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath.β
I love the Lord because He hears my voice. Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath.β I saw only trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the Lord Please save me. What can I offer the Lord for all He has done for me? I will praise the Lords name for saving me. I will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving. I will fulfil my promises to the Lord in the presence of all his people.

No one really likes public speaking, standing up in a room full of people to teach something, saying thank you to a speaker, or just to tell your story. On the occasions I have had to do this I make lots of notes, usually type them out neatly so that they are easy to read, then add changes in my own writing as each time I look at them all I see are mistakes! I am nervous before I stand up to speak, and often pace when I am speaking but I have found that people hear the message when I ask the Lord for help. However I perform, the Lord saves me, and I receive the feedback from others that I did a good job. And I in turn am getting more comfortable in saying that the Lord listens and helps and so I pray, and the circle continues.
Prayer: Almighty God who bends down to listen to each of us, thank you for your understanding and your support to strengthen us when we are stressed especially in public places. Amen.
