My cup overflows

Psalm 23 v 5 “You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.”

The Lord is my Shepherd, I have all that I need. He lets me rest. Guides me by peaceful streams along the right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid. For you are close beside me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.” Goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life, then I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

Good things come from God and for David who believed his cup overflowed with blessings. In the journey of life, for those who believe, your cup will overflow with blessings too. Even if there are people around you who seem to challenge all that you believe, God is preparing a feast for you. Keep your head up and your eyes on the Lord. Allow God to do His job of leading you along the right path, giving you rest when you need it and guiding you by peaceful streams. Even through the darkest valley God is close by your side.

Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for always being close by, for guiding me along the right path even though sometimes I do not see it or realize that you are there. Please help me to understand that your unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life. Amen.
