Good

 1 Peter3: 13-22 v 21 “And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”

Who will harm you for doing good? Even if you do suffer God will reward you. Don’t worry about threats. Worship Christ as Lord of your life. If someone asks about your faith always be ready to explain it, gently and respectfully. It is better to suffer for doing good. And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” All the angels and authorities and powers accept the authority of Christ.

Jesus was good. He himself was baptized in water and said, “I will give you living water” (John 4:10). All the angels and authorities and powers accept the authority of Jesus and so do I.  I remember going to a talk about investment and the different risks we take, the presenter saying that he knew someone who wouldn’t buy green bananas! Are you afraid of doing good in the same way? Standing up for others and Jesus? We all need water to be clean, to drink and the living water of Christ. Do something today to honor Christ in your life, even if you suffer, God will reward you.

Prayer: Heavenly Father who gave us Jesus as an example of what is good in this life, give us today an opportunity to share in good works in His name. Amen.
