1 Peter 4: 12-14; 5:6-11v 14 “If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rest upon you.”

Don’t be surprised at fiery trials, as if something strange is happening to you.  Give all your worries and cares to God. Stay alert. Stand firm against the Devil. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.  God will support and strengthen you and He will place you on a firm foundation. All power to Him forever. Amen.

“In his kindness God called you to share in His eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore and support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation.” 1 Peter 5 v 10

Good things are happening in my life now but at the same time my schedule is busy, and I feel disconnected from my fellow believers because of it. I see the stresses of life for other believers too around the world to which I am connected, sick parents, physical struggles with their own health, and just being plain busy with everyday life. In this passage in the bible similar things must be happening to the believers. The first thing to do is to give your worries to God. He is your firm foundation. Reach out to others around you and listen to their wise words because God is with us not just in the quiet contemplative times but you will find blessing in the busy times too. If you are insulted because of being a Christian He will turn things around to give you a blessing. All power to Him. Amen.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for being the calm and the strength in our busy days. Help us to see you rather than the devil’s distractions in all we do in Jesus’ name. Amen.
