Weak or Weary?

Isaiah 40: 21-31 v 28 “Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of His understanding.”

Are you deaf to the words of God- words He gave before the world began? God sits above the circle of the earth. He judges the great people of the world and brings them all to nothing. Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? O Jacob, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles? O Israel, how can you say that God ignores your rights?  Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of His understanding.” Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

So far winter has been dull, and dreary. At times in my day, I am certainly feeling weary of it all! Can Trump really be the President again? Can Canada really be reconciled with Indigenous people? Can I stop eating those extra carbs and exercise more in my busy days? Can I not just stop for a minute without those around me falling apart?

Am I deaf? Have I not heard? Have I never understood?

I am as small as a grasshopper!

I can look up to the stars, because of His great power and incomparable strength not one is missing! He never grows weak or weary. Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. Soar high on wings like an eagle. Run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. Isaiah 40 v31

Prayer: Heavenly Father who was there before creation, help us to look up to the heavens. To see around us the wonders of your world. To understand that you have the strength when we are weak and weary. Thank you for renewing me today. Amen.
