2 Samuel 5 1-5, 9-10 v 10 “ And David became more powerful because the Lord of Heavens Armies was with him.”
The tribes of Israel went to David at Hebron. The Lord told you, “You will be the shepherd of my people Israel. You will be Israel’s leader.” At Hebron David made a covenant before the Lord with all the elders. They anointed him King of Israel. He was thirty years old and reigned for fourty years in all. David made the fortress his home and called it the city of David. And David became more powerful because the Lord of Heavens Armies was with him.
David had a clear message from God. He had the respect of the elders around him and became King, first making a covenant with the Lord. Wherever we are in our life’s journey we are important to God. If we put Him first in our day, it will go well. If we continue to grow spiritually, we will grow stronger with the Lord. Take a moment today to dwell in His strength. Take a deep breath and let all your worries out. Take a moment to find power with the lord, then have a good day!

Prayer: Heavenly Father in the small things we do every day thank you for supporting us. In the big decisions we ask also for your support and direction seen through the scriptures, through friends and through circumstances. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
