We Will Remember Them

Psalm 34:18 “The LORD is near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed in Spirit.”

Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.”

Remembrance Day 2025 – on this special day we remember all those who have fought for our country Canada. Thousands of years have gone by and yet, there is still wars and violence everywhere on this earth. Even in my senior years, I still remember as a young girl standing at attention watching my father and grandfather marching in the streets of my hometown on Remembrance Day. It was a privilege and an honor to be a part of our whole high school to stand and watch. Perhaps you too, can remember a time when you stood at the cenotaph, watched and listened to the minister’s reflection. Please take time today to remember all those who have served or continue to serve our country.

Prayer: Dear Lord, on this special day of remembrance, help us to take the time to pay tribute to all who have served and are still serving our beloved country Canada. We pray that there will come a time when there will be war no more.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
