Words that stood out
Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand. We can rejoice too when we run into problems and trials. For we know how dearly God loves us. He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love. Christ came at just the right time. Whilst we were still sinners.
Reflection
As human beings we enjoy routine, planning and setting goals. But what happens when life gets in the way of our plans? For some it is health concerns, for others loss of jobs, failed relationships, bad weather! How does our faith help us? Well, we can see in this passage of the bible that despite our failures we have been made right by our faith in God’s sight. That whatever happens God is looking out for us, and for our good. So, we can rejoice in our problems and trials. God meets us as we are, just as Christ came at the right time, whilst we were still sinners. And how do we know that despite life’s challenges we are on God’s path? He gives us peace.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, who loves us just as we are but challenges us to be our best selves, we thank you for sending us your Son who died for us at just the right time. We thank you for the things that work out for us knowing that your hand has guided them. Amen.
