“You must give up the life you planned in order to have the life that is waiting for you.” – Joseph Campbell
This quote was mentioned in a training session that I attended recently. It really struck me, to the point that I wrote it down and it has been rolling around in my mind ever since.
‘Throughout the bible this is declared in many ways.
‘For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.’ – Jeremiah 29:11
‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.’ – Psalm 32:8
‘The heart of a man plans his way, but the Lord establishes the steps.’ – Proverbs 16:9
‘Many are the plans in the mind of a man but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.’ – Proverbs 23:18
These are just a few ways the Bible reminds us that God has plans for us and they are good. He has known us since before we were born. He will not leave our lives to chance. This should bring peace to your mind and heart.
Prayer: Lord thank you for the plans you have for me. That they are good and will not harm me. Amen
