John 6: 24-35 v 35“Jesus told them “I am the bread of Life. Whoever comes to me will never become hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
Because of the New Testament, the Old Testament teachings take on new meaning. Jesus was aware that His followers were following Him because he fed them, they ate as much food as they needed. The Old Testament people were given manna, bread from God, to survive in the desert.

Jesus was sent for a yet bigger picture to provide the “bread of Life” . Following Jesus will have all our earthly needs met, and our spiritual longings will be satisfied too. No longer searching for the meaning in all we do but finding contentment in any circumstance. Rich or poor, sick or healthy, Jesus is the answer.
Prayer: Holy Father, thank you for giving us your son to save us, as bread nourishes our bodies, Jesus nourishes our all. Amen.
