John 6: 56-59v 56 v 58 “This is the bread that came from heaven. It is not like the bread your ancestors ate. They eventually died. Those who eat this bread will live forever.”
I have been away on vacation , staying with family who make their own bread almost on a daily basis. It smells so good in the kitchen when it is cooking and tastes wonderful especially when still warm straight from the oven.
This would have been the same in Jesus’s time. So what is he saying? A statement that some of his followers found hard to believe and went back home ( v 66) Those that believe in Jesus will live forever.
Our earthly bodies die but our souls live on to praise God, and one day will will have new bodies to walk with Jesus.
Make the choice to eat the bread of life. Follow Jesus as your savior.
