Daniel 7: 9-10, 13 -14. v 14 “He was given power, honor and a Kingdom. People from every province, nation and language were to serve Him. His power is an eternal power that will not be taken away. His kingdom will never be destroyed.”
Daniel in this passage in the Old Testament is telling others of his vision. As we approach the season of advent we are reminded of references in the bible to Jesus, who came for all people, with a Kingdom that will never be destroyed.
With all the technology available today communication is instant unless of course you are driving in a “dead zone” where the signals all around us cannot reach. Or you forget to plug in your device and the batteries die. Our need for fossil fuels is still part of our everyday life even as the resources diminish. Wind power, solar power and nuclear power continue to be developed but a storm can find us without power briefly or for some hours. So even with all these different forms of power and instant communication our lives have moments of darkness and relationships break down.
In Jesus everyone can find a relationship that will never be destroyed and an eternal power that will not be taken away. Put your trust in Him today.
Prayer: Holy God thank you for sending your son for all so that we may know your everlasting power and love. Amen.
