Luke 1 v 68 -69 “Praise the Lord God of Israel! He has come to take care of His people and to set them free”
Zechariah the father of John did not believe that God could do the impossible and give him a son when he and his wife had not had children for many years. He was unable to speak during the pregnancy but when John was born he was able to speak and the first thing he did was to start praising God. “Who has come to take care of his people”
Is it a simple thing to take care of someone ? New Moms are often overwhelmed by the caring for a new baby. Those caring for elderly parents too can be worn down by the constant attention and needs of others. Our God has come to take care of us? Wow!
