Zephaniah 3:14-20 v 17 “The Lord your God is with you. He is a hero who saves you. He happily rejoices over you, renews you with His love, and celebrates over you with shouts of joy.”
The title for this passage in the bible is “Israel’s Joyful song,” and “Israel will return home. “
How great is God who wants only the best for you. Who like Spiderman or some other hero, swoops down to save you! Not a comic book character but someone who rejoices over you, renews you with love, and celebrates with you.
I feel good when it is my birthday and someone sings “Happy Birthday” to me, usually with a cake and a candle. Last week I was at a Christmas concert and we all joined in singing the carol silent night and I felt warm and fuzzy inside. Also this week I was at a hockey game and the microphone wasn’t working so the person singing O Canada asked everyone to join in and join in they did it was lovely, a joyous moment.
To think that God was front and center in these activities is humbling and again in creeps that warm and fuzzy feeling.
Holy Father thank you for being with me everyday and celebrating over me with shouts of joy. Amen
