Luke 18: 9-14 v 14 “I ( Jesus) tell you this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God.”
Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else. Two men went to the temple to pray. The Pharisee was pleased that he was not like the tax collector and bragged to God about how he fast twice a week and gave one tenth of his income. The tax collector bowed his head, beat his chest, and said be merciful to me a sinner. I ( Jesus) tell you this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God.”
Being humble is difficult. I get excited when good things happen especially with good intentions and find myself saying ‘what a good job we did”. It is easy to praise each other for the great work done, forgetting to give God the glory. To remember that without His good intentions the great conversations would never happen. The “ ah ha” moments would be ignored and the excitement of the moment would not be the lasting deep joy of reflection.

Today take a quiet moment and pray:
“O God be merciful to me, for I am a sinner. Thank you for the loving conversations and understanding of your words in action that I have seen this week. With you all things are possible. Amen.
