Acts 2:42-47 v “They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity.”
All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles teaching, shared meals, and prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them. All the believers met together in one place, sold their property and possessions, and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity.” Praised God, enjoyed the good will of the people and each day added to the fellowship.
We must eat every day. It makes sense that our God designed the act of sharing a meal to be a spiritual practice, not just the act of the Lord’s supper but every meal, shared with joy and generosity. A community of believers also teach, pray, and praise God together. Sometimes in a temple, sometimes in their own homes. A life lived on the principles set out in the bible, shared with other believers, will lead to experiencing that deep sense of awe.

Prayer: Holy God thank you for the meals that you provide every day. I am sorry that my table sometimes is not as open and generous as it could be. Help me to share with those in need around me with a joyful heart. Amen
