Hear my prayer

Psalm 17:1-7,15.v6 I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer

Hear me. Listen to my prayer. I plan no evil. I have kept from the ways of the violent. My steps have held to your path. I call on you, my God, for you will answer me;pturn your ear to meq and hear my prayer Show   me the wonders of your great love.

Jesus tells us to pray without ceasing. This psalm is a prayer we have often said in many ways. I am doing what you ask. I want to see results of my prayers, hear me! Show me your love.

Show me the wonders of your great love,
you who save by your right hand
those who take refuge in you from their foes. Psalm 17 v 7

All my prayers are not answered in my timing, to what I think is the best solution, does God hear my prayer? There is absolutely no point in prayer it if it is a one-way process. One of my most frustrating prayers is around looking for things that are lost. I pray to find my golf ball, items around the house or more recently this week a metal ring my husband lost in a field. We could not find it and despite prayer we didn’t find it. Did God hear my prayer? Yes. If His answer was no then it wasn’t for my good or His.   I did find a pair of glasses that belonged to a fellow missionary, I did find the car keys when we were all ready to go home after a trip away, I did find a lost friendship. God answered yes when it was for His good, my good and the good of others. Continue to pray, to ask to be heard. He is listening.

Peayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for listening to our prayers and answering them in your timing to show us your love today and forever. Amen.
