Psalm 118: 1-2, 14 – 24v 22 “The stone that the builders rejected has now become the corner stone.”
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His faithful love endures forever. Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly. Open for me the gates where the righteous enter, and I will go in and thank the Lord. I thank you for answering my prayer and giving me victory! The stone that the builders rejected has now become the corner stone. This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Spring is here and with April showers come dull rainy days. It’s easy to rejoice and be glad when the sun is shining, and the birds are singing. Some days, however, you feel down and sad for no reason at all. I had one of those days yesterday. Today it is still rainy and dull, but I started to think because of this psalm of all the good things that are in my life. To be thankful to a God who is good. The excitement of Easter morning is with me again. Jesus rejected and dead, is alive. He has been made the cornerstone, the point that sets the direction for our lives. Whatever the weather today rejoice and be glad!
Prayer: Holy God, we thank you for all the good things in our lives and rejoice today whatever the weather as your Son, Jesus , the cornerstone, guides our days for good and for your glory. Amen.
