Fruit of Salvation

 Philippians 1 : 3-11 v 9 “ I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.”

I give thanks to God. I make requests with joy. I am certain that God who began the good work in you will continue. You share the special favor of God, as you confirm the truth of the Good News. I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation- the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ.

Although I am in the final season of my life on earth, retirement I am still trying to learn more about myself, about those around me and about God and my relationship with Him. Why? Because there is always room for improvement. As I interact with the world, with God and others pray for me I am changed. I am reminded in this passage to make requests with joy. With God there is always room for improvement as the work He does in me continues. Enjoy today and the changes God makes in your life as He continues His good works, to produce the fruit of salvation, your changed character.

Prayer: Heavenly Father , we thank you for continuing to work on us whatever stage we are at in life. Help us today to show others the character that produces fruit for you. Amen.
