You are watched!

Psalm 121v 5 “The Lord himself watches over you! The lord stands beside you as your protective shade.”

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! The Lord himself watches over you! The lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

I did lots of watching this weekend. Three hockey games, the Brantford Bulldogs, Ayr Timbits, and the Ayr Centennials. In each game there was someone I specifically kept an eye out for, and therefore lost sight of others on the ice. I couldn’t watch everyone all the time.  This psalm however reminds us that God watches us all. Provides a protective shade and keeps you from harm. How amazing is that! Go out into the world with God by your side, protecting you so that you can do His work.

Prayer: Almighty God, we thank you for your protection and the fact that you keep us safe in all that we do in your name not just now but forever. Amen.
