Let the godly sing for joy to the Lord. Sing a new song of praise to Him. For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything He does. He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth. The Lord’s plans stand firm forever; His intentions can never be shaken.

Reflection

Yes, joy to the Lord! There are still wars, people that are hungry, families and people that are lost and broken but there are also signs of unfailing love. The birth of a new baby, the joining of nine countries and 11 different partners through the Baby Ubuntu program, friends in Christ joining together to worship at a retreat and online. Efforts to feed the hungry through The Canadian Foodgrains Bank. Sleeping children around the world helps children and families have a good night’s rest. Look around the world for the good things that are occurring today!

Prayer

Almighty God, who sees the craziness but brings order to our days, we thank you. Who understands our struggles and our deviations from your plans, we are sorry. Who has no limits on bringing us back to what is truly joyful, we praise you. Amen.
