Psalm 19 v 4 “Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.”
Words that stood out
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display His craftmanship. Day after day they continue to speak. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun. Nothing can hide from its heat. The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
Reflection
At this time of year, the days are getting shorter, so I have found myself driving as the sun rises in the morning. Like the psalmist I feel the heavens in those sunrises reflect the glory of God. How the world is made is amazing! And people all over the world can experience that same wonder. Sometimes we get overwhelmed by what we need to do each day, but wondering if we are on the right path, fulfilling our purpose in this world and then we see the sunrise. Day after day God shows us he is there, simply enjoy and your soul will be revived.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the wonders of this world that we see everyday around us. Help us to absorb your love to revive our souls as we work for you. Amen.
