2 Corinthians 4:13 – 5.1 v 16. That is why we are not discouraged. Though outwardly we are wearing out, inwardly we are renewed day by day.
According to her own words my Mom lived a good life. As she got older when people asked her her age she would say on the outside or the inside? Outwardly was her real age but inwardly she was always much younger. I think that is some of what Paul was describing here about our lives as Christians. All of us are aging on the outside, but I have met many Christians much older than me with a wonderful twinkle in theirs eyes as they kindly talk to others about their faith, and I thank God for that. Why? Because as our lives overflow with kindness they will produce even more thanksgiving to the glory of God.
Sometimes we make life too complicated. Really it is quite simple. Love Jesus, love Others, love Yourself in that order, to find the JOY we are searching for. ” Don’t look for things that can be seen but for things that can’t be seen. Things that can be seen are only temporary. But things that can’t be seen last forever.”( 2 Corinthians 4 v 18)
