United we stand, Divided we fall!

Mark3 v 20 -35 v 34 -35
Then looking around at those who sat in a circle around him, He said” Look, here are my mother and my brothers. Whoever does what God wants is my brother and sister and mother.”

Jesus had a caring earthly family. His mother and brothers heard he was hungry, and they came to get him. Despite his hunger Jesus continued to teach the people gathered in a circle around him. He also said” whoever does what God wants is my brother and sister and mother.” In listening to His teachings Jesus showed us we can be united in His family.

Jesus was also teaching in this passage about those who accused Him of having an evil spirit in Him. ” How can Satan force out Satan?” A kingdom or a household divided against itself will not last.” “So if Satan rebels against himself and is divided, he cannot last”

United we stand Divided we fall has been used in many songs and Government propaganda to unite people in times of trouble illustrating this sentiment. A country divided cannot last.

In our own families in times of trouble we gather around, united in a common goal, as we comfort those who grieve or offer support to those who are ill because a family divided cannot last.

Growing spiritually with the support of a caring family of believers is important for a church divided cannot last.

Join in on Wednesdays for mid week fellowship, listen to a YouTube service on a Sunday and continue to learn about Jesus. United we stand.

Prayer: Lord God thank you for uniting us by sending your son to teach us to live together. Amen
