1 Kings 19: 4-8 v 7 The angel of the Lord came back and woke him up again. The angel said, “Get up and eat, or your journey will be too much for you.”
Elijah was in the wilderness. He felt he could not go any further. An angel came twice to wake him up and give him food. The Angel encouraged Elijah to eat as the journey ahead of him was going to be tough and he needed strength
Often in life we can be overwhelmed by what is to come, helping someone navigate cancer treatments, recover after surgery or looking after aging parents. Sometimes our day to day balance of work and family activities or life with a newborn baby can be physically draining.
At times like this the need for sustenance, feeding, is the help you need. This passage reminds us that God also provides via Angels in a practical way the help we need.
Today think of who you are. The person in need of food for the journey ahead or do you have plenty to share and know someone who might benefit from a meal today?

Remember Gods promise today that He will provide practical help for what you need for the journey or use you to be an “Angel” to someone you know who is stressed out by the journey to come.
Prayer- Loving and caring God thank you for giving me the food I need for my journey and the resources to help others who are overwhelmed with life. Amen.
