Mark 9: 30 -37 V37 “Whoever welcomes a child like this in my name welcomes me. Whoever welcomes me welcomes not me but the one who sent me.”
It has been a great joy to me to have grandchildren. To be able to watch my own children become parents. Then there is the role of being a grandparent. To enjoy the cuddles as a new baby nestles in your arms and the hugs of young arms.

Jesus took a young child and hugged them. Then he said that we are to welcome Jesus like that. What a powerful image.

Then there is the fun of exploring with the wonder of a child. Experiencing again the wonder of the world around us.
Welcoming Jesus we are also welcoming God, the one who sent Him!
Prayer: Loving Father thank you for sending Jesus to us and teach us to welcome Him into our hearts like a child. Amen.
