The One

Mark 12: 28-34  ²⁹ Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. ³⁰ And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 

In the presence of Jesus, and the wisdom He spoke others were afraid to speak after He had told them the most important thing to do, love God.

In the business of life, whether doing everyday tasks or working 110% for your employer or yourself, true happiness is found in loving God. In pausing when in the car to admire the changing fall colors, watching the sun set on your way home from work, or hugging your children as they head to bed. In those quiet moments, when you press pause, in your life, savor the love of God freely given to anyone who asks.

Prayer: Holy God thank you for your love so freely given and the time in my day to pause and savor your wonderful gift. Amen
