Exodus 34:29-35 v 34 “But whenever he went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with the Lord, he would remove the veil until he came out again. Then he would give the people whatever instructions the Lord had given him, and the people of Israel would see the radiant glow of his face.”
Moses had a face-to-face meeting with God on the mountain for 40 days and 40 nights. When he came down from the mountain, he carried two stone tablets on which were written the 10 commandments. At this point how Moses looked after an encounter with God and how he continued to meet with God is important for us hear and to understand. Meeting God has consequences, for Moses his face was so radiant that others were afraid of him and he had to wear a veil over his face. But when he went to spend time with God, he removed the veil. Nothing was hidden from God. When Moses taught the people after these encounters with God they were aware of his radiant glow.

Who have you met that has such a bright and confident personality that they “radiate’” out to others? I remember meeting with a gentleman at a conference who was in a wheelchair due to an accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. He had designed a stand-up wheelchair and talked about wheelchair ramps needing to be at the front of buildings as he was tired of going around the back to access places long before legislation was in place to demand access for all. Throughout the conference there was always a group of people standing around him due to his amazing personality. Regular encounters with God in prayer have given a friend such a peaceful nature all who meet her are aware of it. Humans can be changed on the outside by their views and positive nature, but Godly encounters change everyone on the inside. No one is the same after an encounter with God. And others are aware of it. God can handle it too. He is encouraged by the changes that he sees as we continue to meet with Him, just as we are, no veil between us and Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for changing our hearts so that we can go out into the world with a radiant glow. Amen
