1 Peter 4:12-14, 5:6-11
v 10 “In His kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So, after you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation.”
Words that stand out in this passage: –
Dear friends don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through. Instead, be glad. You will have the wonderful joy of seeing His glory when it is revealed to all the world. So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time He will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you. Be strong in your faith. In His kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So, after you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation. All power to Him forever! Amen.
Insite:-
Following Jesus always puts the “norms” of this world upside down. Be glad when times are tough? Be humble? When the world is telling me to take time out for me? Be kind when there are maniac drivers on the road? Be strong as I discover another ache or pain in my body during my day? Tell everyone about Christ, have a firm foundation, when more churches made of stone are becoming houses or other non-religious uses in a community, closing at an alarming rate. Then there are the hungry, the displaced, those who fear for their lives daily because of war! How kind is that? But God is kind. He provides what you need to grow in your faith and help center yourself for an eternal life with Him. On this earth we have temporary moments of joy, but when Christ reaches out his hand on your final day you will be restored and strong, because God is kind.

Prayer: –
Almighty God who made the earth thank you for the moments of joy in our lives. For the trials that lead to our growth, and the strengthening of our faith so that we can reach out to others with the kindness that you show to us. Amen.
