O lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You go before me and follow me. If I go up to heaven you are there. If I go down to the grave, you are there. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you. Search me, O God, and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
Reflection
Summertime is a time for resting at home or travelling the world! Whatever our plans are God wants to be a part of it. After all He has examined our hearts and knows why we make certain choices. Whatever the reason, dark or light He is there. We cannot get away from Him. So let God search our hearts, and test our reasoning for our decisions, and lead us on the path of everlasting light!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, who searches our hearts for the reasons behind our summer travel plans we thank you for leading us on the path of everlasting life. Amen.
