Job 38 v 1-11 v “Who shut the sea behind gates when it burst through and came out of the womb,”
In these verses of the bible God talks to Job, after the devil has taken everything away from Job. His friends have given him bad advice and he is miserable due to his circumstances. God then describes all the mysteries of the world and although today we are understanding more and more there are still many things we do not understand and cannot fully explain about how the world physically functions. However, we do know that God is all powerful and all knowing, and He has the answers as he called the earth into being. Jesus also reminds us of the power of God to still the wind and the waves as He commanded and they listened to Him. (Mathew 8 v 23-27). And Jobs story is a happy ever after story as God restores Job, his family and he can save his friends too.
There have been many challenges to our lives during this pandemic, but there have also been blessings too. The earth and all its wonders has had a time of decreased carbon emissions, and our appreciation of this amazing planet has grown.
Prayer: Almighty God, thank you for making the world and all that is in it. Amen.
